We are thrilled to officially announce the winners of our very first open call, ‘OC1 EIC Awardee + Buyer’! Our mission has always been to forge powerful partnerships between Europe’s leading innovators and buyers with real-world challenges, and today, we celebrate the projects that will bring this vision to life.
A Look Back at a Successful Call
The response to our call, which ran from 16 January to 17 April 2025, was impressive. It invited joint applications from EIC Awardees and buyers to pilot solutions across a huge range of sectors—from Health and Life Sciences to Digital Transformation and Sustainability.
The level of innovation was outstanding, and we want to thank you to every team that applied!
And the Winners Are…
We received a total of 64 applications, submitted by innovative EIC-backed companies. 37 of the applicants, who submitted in total 42 proposals, were eligible to proceed to the extensive InnoMatch Evaluation & Selection process.
After a careful and comprehensive evaluation by our panel of external experts, we are incredibly proud to present the 23 selected pilots that stood out for their innovation and potential market impact.

The process concluded with the selection of the most promising solutions.

The InnoMatch programme
The winners will now embark on the InnoMatch Programme, where they will gain access to mentoring, innovation procurement resources, and a well-established network. The programme incorporates a three-stage process:
– Prepare phase (up to 2 months): Sub-Grant Agreement (SGA) and an Action Plan preparation. The Action Plan will be developed together with the Buyer.
-Deploy phase (up to 6 months): Official start of the pilot implementation: pilots will be conducted within the services or premises of the Buyer, and with the support of a dedicated team on the Buyer’s side.
-Assess phase (up to 4 months): Preparation of a Validation Report: evaluation of the success of each pilot, the KPI fulfilment. With the involvement of the Buyer.
