Working alongside leading transport and logistics operator Patinter, the pilot is deploying their GO-START battery system, a next-generation “plug-and-play” supercapacitor solution. Designed to replace century old, toxic lead acid starter batteries in heavy duty trucks, this eco friendly innovation eliminates engine start failures and slashes fleet operating costs, while driving the trucking industry toward a cleaner, lead free future.

What are your expectations as your solution moves into the assessment phase? And your lessons learned?
Our expectations are simple: deliver technical proof—zero engine start failures—and secure a winning business case through Total Cost of Ownership. With our monitoring system fully active and delivering a steady stream of data, we are pleased to be receiving positive feedback from fleet managers and drivers alike. Our core lesson learned: Installation is completely straightforward. While we identified a few technical challenges during the pilot, we are addressing them immediately to ensure the system’s ultimate robustness. At the same time, we’re incorporating improvements suggested by the team, to improve user experience.

How has InnoMatch helped you achieve your business goals? What have you valued the most so far?
InnoMatch has been a strategic fast track to market, securing a pilot with Patinter, the largest fleet owner in Portugal. This is invaluable because it de-risks our product’s adoption. By testing GO-START under their diverse, real-world conditions, we are getting high-level validation that enables us to refine our solution, guarantees we meet client needs, and gives us a real roadmap for efficient market penetration.

What does success look like for you beyond this pilot and the InnoMatch programme?
Beyond the InnoMatch program, success is two-fold: First, securing the full rollout across Patinter’s 1,000 vehicles based on the proven ROI of the pilot. Second, we use Patinter’s status as a leading reference case to trigger a “domino effect,” accelerating our market takeover and leading to inbound contacts with other big companies operating similar heavy-commercial fleets.
