
A Recap of Our Buyers’ Capacity Building Series
We recently concluded a series of online webinars designed to empower buyers with the knowledge and tools needed for successful innovation procurement. These sessions provided invaluable insights, practical tips, and a deeper understanding of key aspects in identifying and collaborating with innovative suppliers.
Learning Highlights:
Throughout the series, participants gained practical knowledge and explored key strategies to enhance their capacity in innovation procurement:
- Identifying Organizational Needs: Techniques for spotting organizational challenges and identifying unmet needs that require innovative solutions were a core focus. We explored real-world examples of well-defined needs and guidance on how to complete the Open Call for Buyers Proposal template.
- Effective Collaboration with Innovation Suppliers: Participants learned how to communicate effectively to attract innovative solutions, engage and collaborate with innovation suppliers, define clear expectations, and manage risks in innovation projects. We also shared real-world examples of successful partnerships.
- Designing and Managing Pilot Programs: Guidance was provided on designing and managing pilot programs to test innovations effectively.
- Ensuring Long-Term Value: Discussions covered measures to ensure adopted solutions deliver long-term value and scalability.
