Meet the pilot: DeepEn

This edition brings DeepEn into the spotlight!

Collaborating with the world-renowned Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology (LIN), the pilot is testing ultra-thin imaging tools that help scientists study the inner workings of the brain. Standard research equipment can be too large to reach deep brain areas without causing damage. DeepEn’s hair-thin probes solve this problem, allowing researchers to observe active brain cells in high detail and far less invasively, helping to speed up discoveries in brain health and medical care.

What are your expectations as your solution moves into the assessment phase? And your lessons learned?
Most important learning was the user friendliness of our solution – the ability of researchers to use the microendoscope on their own. This lead to important changes to the user interface and protocols. We expect now to assess the possibility of further deployment at LIN and procurement options once technology confirmed useful for LIN researchers.

How has InnoMatch helped you achieve your business goals? What have you valued the most so far?
Yes. It gave us an opportunity to engage with real potential buyer with plans to establish a reference lab , test our system, improve and explore procurement pathways.
