Meet the pilot: Better Medicine

Now it is time to feature Better Medicine in our Meet the Pilot series!

Partnering with Mainz University Hospital, this EIC Awardee has developed an AI-powered radiology solution designed to enhance diagnostic consistency and speed in kidney cancer detection.

Read the full interview below to learn more about their expectations for the assessment phase and what they hope to achieve after the conclusion of the programme.

Get a look at their technology in our latest brochure, available below. Discover exactly how this solution works, who it is designed for, and how you can get in touch if you would like to connect!

What are your expectations as your solution moves into the assessment phase? And your lessons learned?
We expect that our BMVision Kidney solution will be used in clinical routine – right after the final successful validation on a large amount of CT studies in the assessment phase. During the project we have learned that our solution can be successfully deployed on-premise and all its components efficiently run 100% on-site with no medical data leaving the hospital. We have learned that it is crucial to tailor the solution input and output to the particular needs of the customer, and this allowed us to integrate it with UMC clinical workflows in a fast and efficient manner.

How has InnoMatch helped you achieve your business goals? What have you valued the most so far?
Extensive support during the project by InnoMatch Mentor. Also, the sessions on specific topics were quite useful. And we have got an opportunity to get free coaching – which we eagerly made use of.

What does success look like for you beyond this pilot and the InnoMatch programme?
Get further cooperation partners and productive customers for BMVision Kidney in Germany and Switzerland. Our current focus is on the big university and communal hospitals in DACH region.
